Kristin Radcliffe and Mary Tveit are bringing their love of design and travel to your door. Co-owners of The Reading Room, their dreamy café in downtown Decatur is adorned with furniture, fixtures, and finds from Bali — so it felt only natural to start Piper there, with pieces so many of their guests already love.
The two traveled to Bali this past February to curate their first drop alongside local makers, choosing each piece by hand. But Bali is just the beginning — Kristin and Mary are headed to India next, followed by Colombia, each stop bringing home a new collection of one-of-a-kind pieces for your home.
In February 2026, Kristin and Mary spent weeks in Bali, wandering the workshops of Ubud and meeting the makers behind Piper’s first collection. They fell for the island’s craftsmanship — hand-carved wood, woven rattan, and textiles dyed and stitched the traditional way — the same spirit that fills The Reading Room back home.
What’s landing this fall is a small, one-of-a-kind selection curated straight from those makers: furniture, wall hangings, and smallwares, each piece hand-chosen and impossible to find twice.
